Ku-ring-gai Council is a local government area in the Upper North Shore region of Sydney. The region is named after the Ku-ring-gai tribe who once inhabited the area. Ku-ring-gai Council first adopted Conserve® in May 2010 and currently have more than 120 individual contractor businesses approved within the online contractor management system.
Ku-ring-gai Council was looking to adopt a uniform process across the organisation to ensure contractor compliance with their WHS requirements. Prior to the uptake of Conserve®, they used a manual process to ensure the councils legal and WHS criteria were met, however, this proved difficult to manage and was highly resource intensive as different groups would often use different processes.
Conserve® was adopted by the council as its contractor management system. It is hosted and accessed completely online, providing a consistent process for prequalification of contractors as well as the tracking and reporting of contractor compliance with the council’s WHS requirements.
They currently have 127 contractor businesses accredited and approved in Conserve.
They have a pool of compliant prequalified contractors that they can engage as needed.
